Launch of funding to tackle child poverty (service 53)

London Councils is seeking applications to deliver services to tackle child poverty.

London Councils intends to fund one or two organisations to deliver this service. £400,000 is available per year. The successful organisation/s will target beneficiaries living in social housing where there are high levels of worklessness and poverty.

The service will provide a holistic approach for families with multiple barriers to exiting poverty, working with both parents and their children. The service will focus on families with multiple barriers to accessing employment, achieving at school and exiting poverty.

The service should be delivered in a small geographical area affected by high levels of deprivation. The area of benefit needs to cover two boroughs, such as a housing estate or primary school which is split over a borough boundary, but with a strong local focus on a small geographical area.

If you would like to make an application please read the guidance and specification before completing the form. Applications can only be submitted online, using the form below. Please note that from 20 May - 4 June one of the guidance documents was not the correct copy. Funding is available for direct service provision (not second tier as implied in the incorrect guidance which has now been removed).

The correct guidance is now available below:
