The doorstep issues for londoners - breakout 2

The doorstep issues for Londoners

Breakout 2

Over the next four years London will face challenges such as tightening budgets, and growing transport, housing and environmental demands, which in turn will impact on the work of the councillors at the local borough level.

The discussion in this breakout focused on identifying the big issues for Londoners and how they would affect doorstep campaigning in May 2010.

Speakers in this session were:

Tony Travers, director, Greater London Group, London School of Economics

Shaun Bailey, co-founder and managing director of My Generation

Cllr Stephen Knight, London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames

Cllr Clyde Loakes, London Borough of Waltham Forest

Chaired by: Dick Sorabji, corporate director policy and public affairs, London Councils
