Communities: the next 10 years - An online review of the conference
Summary
Bringing together key figures in housing and regeneration, this major ALG conference explored the latest thinking in social housing and how innovative ideas could be put into practice.
Themes included taking a new approach to social housing provision, the government’s Respect agenda and why the next 10 years are crucial - not only for social housing providers but for the residents of London's communities.
A policy paper, The future of social housing and pathways to prosperity, and a 10-point action plan to cut overcrowding were both launched by the ALG on the day.
An online programme is provided below which includes an article on each session including plenary and breakout discussions and a review of the panel debate. You will also find backgrounds on each of the speakers and copies of those presentations available. Click on the programme links to read more about what happened during each session.
