ALG Response to Tfl's Consultation on the Review of the Mayor's Transport and Air Quality Strategies

Transport for London (TfL) invited responses to its consultation on the review of the Mayor's Air Quality and Transport Strategies which will facilitate the introduction of a Low Emission Zone for Greater London in 2008.  The deadline for responses was 24 April 2006 but due to local elections, TfL agreed to allow changes to any response submitted by that date to be forwarded to TfL by Monday 5 June 2006.

A response was put forward to ALG TEC Elected Officers under the Urgency Procedure for agreement prior to 24 April.  However, agreement on this response could not be reached, and so an 'officer response' was sent to TfL, with the understanding that changes could be made after the May elections and re-sent to TfL prior to the 5 June deadline.

An ALG response is attached which incorporates the changes proposed (these are highlighted for clarity).
