Elected Officer - Urgency Procedure - 2006/07 Provisional Local Government Finance Settlement

The deadline for submitting responses to the provisional local government finance settlement is Wednesday 11 January 2005. At the November meeting of the Leaders' Committee it was agreed that the urgency procedures would be used to agree the final version of the ALG's response.

A draft version of the ALG's response is attached to this report.  This draft has been prepared in accordance with lines taken in the summer consultation of formula grant options and comments made at the meeting with Phil Woolas MP, the Local Government Minister, on 21 December 2004.
