London Councils invested £9.4million in voluntary organisations on behalf of all the London councils in the most recent funding round. London Councils funding is provided by the London Boroughs Grants Scheme. Set up under the 1985 Local Government Act, the scheme is funded and governed by the 32 London boroughs and the Corporation of London. The Grants Committee comprises 33 representative members, one from each of Londonís local councils. The Grants Committee has completed its review of the current scheme and set new principles and priorities to enable Londonís local authorities to work together in funding voluntary organisations working across the capital.
