Westminster Council designed and implemented a customer and staff-centered change programme called WorkSmart to radically transform the way services are delivered in the borough. 28 projects were completed by March 2008 which have delivered efficiencies, improvements and innovations.Annual cashable savings of £32.5 million and over £125 million cumulative cash savings will be delivered by the programme to the end of 2010/11.
Capital Ambition has written up four Case Studies on this work which include an overall summary, flexible working, Licensing and Children’s Services (e.g. The Children’s Dashboard, a technology-enabled management solution developed in partnership with private sector).
