A report produced in December 2010, examining:

  • The current organisation of the London authorities’ procurement teams responsible for acquiring, managing and controlling
    London’s £8.9B third party influenceable expenditure
  • The opportunities for additional cashable savings / efficiency gains that could be derived from more collaborative working,
    shared contracting and the use of shared resources
  • Setting out the categories for extended collaboration based on detailed analysis of the expenditure profiles and supply bases of the 33
    London local authorities
  • Making suitable recommendations for the way forward, and what Capital Ambition could do during the remainder of 2010-11 to extend collaboration.

Sharing professionals - an evolving guide

In 2008 RSe Consulting (now part of Tribal) supported Capital Ambition to develop a small number of ‘big ideas’ around the efficiency agenda; one of these was shared professionals. Capital Ambition was keen to discover: whether there is a real need for sharing professionals within London; how sharing professionals might work in practice; and what the potential benefits of sharing professionals are likely to be.
