Where will it be used?

The toolkit has been designed for London's 32 boroughs. The toolkit was conceptulised in the latter months of 2007. It was the output of an extensive period of focus groups, lively debate and development workshops. It was launched in October 2008.

The toolkit focuses on London as it was funded by the citys' Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership. London Councils were represented on the Steering Group, Council officers participated in the workshops and played an active role in focus groups and case studies. The case studies included inspections, interviews and much open discussion.

It is intended that the toolkit will be updated at selected times in the future, ensuring it will be a useful tool for Councils in the long term.
