Procure4London
From September 2011, councils in London have been advertising contract opportunities of all values via a new online procurement portal, Procure4London.com Opens in a new window .
Procure4London is a ‘one stop shop’ for public sector procurement in the capital. It has been created by London Councils, as part of their Capital Ambition programme.
Procure4London enables all councils in London, as well as other public sector organisations, to share procurement information, contracts and best practice more easily than ever before.
The portal will also have some great benefits for businesses who want to supply goods and services to the public sector in the capital. Procure4London will be a notice board for contracts across councils in London. As London local councils collectively spend around £8.8 billion on goods and services across more than 5,900 contracts, it’s a great way to see what opportunities there are for supplying to local government in London.
It is free for suppliers to browse through notices on Procure4London and express an interest in the opportunities. Procure4London also provides news and information to help suppliers respond to and deliver services for the London public sector.
The portal itself - www.procure4london.com is now live.
