2008


A self assessment workshop was held on 28th April 2008 to provide an update on the project, assist authorities in completing the March 2008 Energy Procurement Action Plan self assessment and identify where energy procurement savings are derived.


An energy procurement workshop was held on 12th September 2008 to provide London public sector organisations with information on energy procurement best practice and recommend the use of aggregated, flexible and risk managed contracts.


A 'meet the provider' event was held on 12th November 2008 to provide more detailed information about the new flexible, aggregated, risk managed contracts available and for the Central Purchasing Bodies to outline their services and risk management strategies.


2007


Several events were held in 2007 to support the delivery of the Local Government Energy Procurement Action Plan - see details below.

The launch of the Energy Procurement Action Plan Opens in a new window was held at Prospero House, London, on 18th April 2007.


A workshop on automated meter reading Opens in a new window was held in central London on 17th July 2007.

A consultation event on the proposed procurement models and specifications was held on 19th September 2007.

A workshop on integrating financial and energy management processes Opens in a new window was held on 20th November 2007 in central London.
