A bureaus, billing and e-issues workshop was held on 21st January to enable councils to consider the efficiencies and savings that could be achieved through improving and automating bill validation and payment processes and the services offered by energy bureaus.
LEP, together with Buying Solutions, held a bureau services workshop on 23rd April, to identify savings and efficiencies that could e achieved by adopting bureau style services, whether outsourced or delivered internally. This included the specification of common contract clauses, service levels and standard reports that would be beneficial and add value to energy management and administration.
A CRC workshop was held on 17th June, to provide a real-life practitioners' view of the CRC, the challenges and potential costs councils will face in its implementation and its broader environmental and financial impacts. We followed this with a CRC update event on 16th December to provide further guidance on the Scheme and share information on policy issues and the practical activities involved in implementation.
