Welcome to the London Energy Project

London Energy Project (LEP) is the London public sector centre of expertise for innovative energy procurement strategy and effective energy and carbon management.

Our primary aim is to enable our community of Participating Authorities Opens in a new windowto achieve value for money and efficiencies through smarter energy buying, improved administration processes and carbon reduction.

In working together we share expertise and maximise our combined buying power to reduce operational costs and deliver economies of scale.

Sustaining energy category support

To sustain independent energy category support to London's public sector beyond 2012, LEP has made the transition from a project funded centrally by the Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership to a public sector shared service, designed and managed by the public sector for the public sector on a not-for-profit basis through contributions from Participating Authorities Opens in a new window: 30 London Authorities and 4 Regional Authorities.

LEP's governance is provided by a Category Board drawn from the community of Participating Authorities.
