Excellence in Programme and Project Management

‘Better when we’re together’

Excellence in Programme and Project Management (EPPM) was a London-wide initiative to improve the quality, consistency and coherence of projects and programme in the capital.  Our aim was to help project and programme managers achieve more efficient and effective outcomes for citizens.

Over the years EPPM has delivered substantial benefits to most London local and regional authorities and we are now expanding this offer nationally.  We are working with the 'Collective Voice' initiative, the Local Government Group (LGG) and the OGC to share and collaborate further to achieve greater benefits for the public sector as a whole.

“The EPPM programme has done more to advance the application of good programme management over the past 2 years than any initiative I’m aware of.  The team has done a brilliant job of taking the excellent guidance in Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and tailoring it specific to both the Local Authority context and the capability of people who will apply it – many of whom are occasional programme sponsors, programme board members or programme managers who are working on a programme in addition to their day job.”
