Background to CRS

The initial specification of the CRS was generated by procurement specialists from the PAE at the beginning of 2005. The application was then designed and developed by an independent software company, New Information Paradigms Limited (NIP), and is currently hosted on NIP’s servers at their offices in Berkshire . The CRS was trialled in Essex during the late summer and autumn of 2005 and went live in the PAE in November of the same year.

Subsequently, the West London Alliance (WLA) comprised of the following authorities – Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow , Hillingdon and Hounslow – trialled the CRS on behalf of Capital Ambition.   In March 2006, the LCE Management Board agreed the recommendation in a paper from the WLA to adopt the CRS across the whole of the organisation.
