London Councils response to the Government's consultation on the 'Planning for a Sustainable Future

London Councils is generally supportive of amendments to streamline the planning system and remove any unnecessary and complex planning processes but is very concerned about the proposals to extend permitted development rights for certain types of householder applications, particularly where such development is in sensitive areas, such as conservation areas.
